A TRUE-BLUE FRIEND FOR A SAFER EDMONTON

True-Blue Friends support each other. As a TBF for safe community, the Edmonton Police Foundation has two grant program streams that provide funding of up to $20,000 to support the community and the EPS with initiatives that advance the impact of community policing in Edmonton.

The Excellence in Policing Program encourages grant applications from EPS Members / Divisions for funding of up to $20,000* to support projects such as (and not limited to):

  • Major projects that may fall outside of normal budget cycles or could not be considered within current municipal budget;
  • Development of intervention / prevention programs;
  • Educational opportunities related to community policing;
  • Promoting the practice of community policing;
  • Member health & wellness.

The Community Policing Program is intended to support community agencies / groups who share the EPF’s vision, and may (or may not) have a direct / indirect relationship with EPS through program and service delivery that aligns with community policing. The Foundation will consider projects such as (and not limited to):

  • Development of intervention / prevention crime programs;
  • Educational opportunities related to community policing;
  • Promoting the practice of community policing;
  • Health & wellness contributing to public safety.
